ARTIST PROFILE – Emily Travis

I have always had a passion for design and I love working with colour and texture. This has applied both to my work in Building Design as well as my work with Weaving and Fibre Arts. I also take great joy in the practical outcome of a physical finished object that can be used and enjoyed by many people over many years.

My current creative work focuses on craft and folk traditions, exploring the use of colour and texture to express or evoke emotions, communicate meaning and carry historical and cultural significance.
