Exhibitions

Exhibitions

The Great Alpine Gallery features a range of exhibitions throughout the year.

You may find a themed exhibition featuring work by local artists and community members, or an exhibition from a particular artist. The Gallery also supports travelling exhibitions and region-wide events.

Artists

Artists

Our artists are the lifeblood of the Great Alpine Gallery. The Gallery features the work of multiple artists working across a huge range of media. Many of our artists are also the volunteers you'll find working in the gallery.

Poets Walk

Poets Walk

Swifts Creek resident John Butler was a sculptor and poet who wrote “A River’s Mark” after the 2008 floods. He had a vision of creating the Poet’s Walk consisting of a walking track with six rock cairns with each cairn displaying a verse of his poem.

Wow that was fun!!! Thanks to all the willing participants who came along to pick up a brush for a trial run of Paint and Sip with Tracey Johnson, we all had a hoot (including Tracey😄) The Gallery was the perfect venue with all the gorgeous artworks on display as inspiration, as we studied the fine details of our fruit and vegie collection. Thanks to Annie Richardson for taking great photos yet again.

Rob Boucher local school principal is also an amazing woodworker! We are very happy to receive some more work from him to sell. There is a mixture of shelving, small tables and boards made with a variety of wood.
