 +
+So excited and feeling WARM and COMFY!!!
+Thanks to East Gippsland Shire Council and the Community Project Grants we were able to purchase a split system (installed last week) and chairs for the gallery. Previously there was only a bar heater for the "bad days" and the chairs were falling apart.
+We had out first face to face meeting since February and we were basking in warmth and good will!
+Very, very grateful to the Shire for their continued support and cannot wait to share the space with everyone.
+Lots of ideas and things coming up so watch this space!

 +**LIGHTEN AND BRIGHTEN**
 +
+April 2020. Here's an idea to lighten and brighten our days at home . Lighten and Brighten! We are inviting people in our valley to create something colourful and/or lit up at night, and install it on your fence/gate/in the paddock etc, to brighten our days. Want to join in? Send us your photos and we'll share them on Facebook. Let's cheer ourselves and everyone else up!

 +**CLOSURE**
 +
 +3rd June 2020
 +
+The gallery is still closed for the moment and waiting on some more guidlines and considering our volunteers. Stay well and looking forward to seeing the art works completed in isolation.

 +25th March 2020
 +
 +
+Due to the pandemic that affects us all, we will be closing the Gallery for the foreseeable future.
 +
+Our next exhibition Alpine Exposure which was due to open AT East Gippsland Art Gallery on 9th April will be rescheduled.
 +
+If you are making work and would like to share it with our online community, please send us some photos of your work in progress and we would love to share it on our Facebook page.
 +
+We hope you all keep safe and well.

 +{{ :aa-images:vic_landcare_awards_poets_walk_2019_resize.jpg?nolink&180 |}}
 +
+The Swifts Creek Ensay Landcare Group and the Gallery have been working closely to rejuvinate the **Poets Walk** idea intitiated by John Butler a former member of both of these groups. It has come to fruition and continuing on. The Landcare award recognises the efforts and importance of the walk for the local community and provides a pleasant walk for visitors to the area. We are very proud to be affiliated with both the Landcare Awards and also Community Group of the Year for Australia Day 2020

 +**WE ARE OPEN**
 +
+The Gallery is now open again, after our horror December and January bush fire period. (**Huge** thank you to all firefighting crews for their work keeping us safe). All roads are completely open (but do drive with extra care), and our volunteers are back on board.
 +
+We do encourage you to come and visit. This area is so beautiful and even with the drought and fires it is a lovely place to visit - whether for a day trip or a longer period. Obviously also with no income for our artists coming in for six weeks, we do also encourage you to drop in, have a chat and buy something - even just a locally created card.  Our artists will thank you!
