Fiona is an artist from East Gippsland.

I find a lot of joy in the interaction of colour, the play of light, the feel, and the smell of everyday objects. This has led me to play with dyeing, blending, spinning and weaving a variety of fibres. Interlacing twigs into a basket, knotting hay band into a container, the feel of fibres as I spin, weaving fabrics meditatively allowing my mood to influence the colours and texture or structured repetitions producing pattern give me pleasure. Colour, light, texture and form of objects has also recently inspired me to experiment with clay and glazes.
